We are hiring in the context of Behaviors.ai
Project, a 12 months Post Doc in Social Robotics.


The Behaviors.ai (Behaviors.ai is an Engine
enHancing verbAl and non­Verbal InteractiOns of RobotS, based
on Artificial Intelligence
) joint laboratory will develop
a smart interaction engine to provide more empathic, intuitive
and natural human-robot interactions. This project gathers
skills from 
LIRIS researchers in Artificial Intelligence and
from 
Hoomano, a specialized firm in software
development for social robots. Behaviors.ai targets to transfer
fundamental research results, especially in developmental learning,
to mass-market applications in robots (see Behaviors.ai website for
more details).

In the context of this project we are looking for a
Post Doc candidate with a strong background in Social Robotics,
Human-Robot Interaction, and with good skills in Artificial
Intelligence in general and Machine Learning in particular.
The targeted mission for this Post Doc is the
achievement of Research & Development activity with the team
in place, to develop intelligent Human-Robot Interaction, using
Machine Learning technics and in particular, exploring the new
approach for unsupervised learning based on constructivist
Learning / developmental Learning.
The candidate for this position should be able to work
both autonomously and in cooperation with the project team (1 PhD,
3 engineers, 1 associate professor, 1 professor on the academic
side, the Chief Scientific Officer and some engineers on the
Hoomano side) on the research issues identified by the Project
Team. The Post doc also contributes to the daily work in the
project (interaction with the Software Development Team,
Supervision of internships, scientific publication writing, State
of the art study, etc.)

The position is for 12 months, the starting date is ASAP (Note: 3
months are required by the administration for hiring after the
application acceptation). It will be located in LIRIS laboratory in
Lyon (with regular missions to Hoomano offices in Lyon).
